It’s Green on the fields. Professor Green has announced that he will be playing at the University of Essex Summer Ball 2015. The tweet, posted on 2 April at 11.29pm, promised that “It’s going to be a madness. See you soon Essex!”
I’m at the @EssexSB Summer Ball. It’s going to be a madness. See you soon Essex!
— Professor Green (@professorgreen) April 2, 2015
Professor Green is well known for his songs ‘Read all about it’ featuring Emilie Sande (2011), and ‘Just be good to Green’ with Lily Allen (2010). His most recent album ‘Growing Up in Public’ was released last year, and has been described by The Guardian’s Lanre Bakare as “slightly edgy pop”, showing a maturity that was not seen in his earlier work.
The 31-year-old will be performing at the Summer Ball, organised by the Students’ Union, which is due to take place on Saturday 6 June this year at the University of Essex. Green will join Krept and Konan, Majestic and a host of other acts released in an email to Priority students yesterday.
Tickets will be going on sale for those students who have signed up to the Priority List on Monday 6 to Friday 10 April. Tickets cost £50 and Priority guests can look forward to an exclusive hour of private partying, queue jump and a free glass of bubbly on arrival.
